Sustainability
At Kish, we are committed to providing beautiful, luxurious, and well-fitted clothing for our B2B customers. However, our goals extend beyond offering exceptional products. We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the planet for a better future. That's why we are proud to introduce our sustainability initiative, which focuses on reducing our environmental footprint and promoting social responsibility throughout our supply chain.
Sustainability at the Grassroots: Our Raw Materials
Our sustainability approach starts from the bottom up, beginning with the materials we use. We continuously explore new and innovative ways to create our clothing using materials that have a lower environmental impact. We prioritize the use of organic cotton, recycled polyester, and other eco-friendly fibers in our collections. By doing so, we reduce our reliance on finite resources and minimize our impact on ecosystems and wildlife.
Our efforts in sustainable sourcing have gained global recognition. We have received certifications for our low-impact practices, including the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). GOTS is a well-established global standard that ensures the production of organic fibers and clothing adheres to comprehensive guidelines. This certification validates our commitment to ethically sourcing organic materials and producing them in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.
Additionally, we have been acknowledged by the Organic Content Standard (OCS) for our use of organic materials. OCS is a worldwide, voluntary standard that certifies organic materials and supply chain management. Our OCS certification confirms that a significant percentage of organic fabric is incorporated into our clothing items, independently verified by a recognized certification body. This certification highlights our dedication to promoting sustainability in our operations. We have also obtained the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) certification for our use of recycled materials in our clothing items.
Ethical and Fair Practices in Production: Our Global Supply Chain
Our commitment to sustainability extends throughout our global supply chain. We prioritize fair and ethical practices at every stage, ensuring that all participants in the supply chain are treated fairly and ethically. Kish advocates for fair labor conditions, safe working environments, and the prevention of exploitation and human rights abuses.
Continuous Improvement Efforts
We conduct regular assessments of our suppliers to ensure their compliance with ethical standards and labor laws. Kish has developed and implemented a code of conduct that outlines our expectations for suppliers, including requirements for fair labor practices, health and safety measures, and environmental protection. We are actively working towards providing more transparency in our supply chain, sharing information about our suppliers, materials, and production processes. Our aim is to empower consumers to make informed decisions aligned with their values.
Our efforts have been recognized by the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI). We have received BSCI certification, acknowledging our adherence to working condition standards for our laborers and our socially responsible manufacturing practices.
At Kish, as a part of the fashion industry, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of fast fashion. We believe in taking the time to create products that benefit our B2B customers while also contributing positively to the planet we call home.
